Das Metall-Laser-Sintern ist eine Additive Fertigung. Sie steht bei Loll für ein neues Fertigungsverfahren bei dem nicht wie bisher, ein Bauteil dadurch entsteht, dass Material durch fräsen oder drehen abgetragen wird (Subtraktive Fertigung), sondern das Bauteil auf Basis von digitalen 3D-Konstruktionsdaten schichtweise aufgebaut wird.
Hierbei wird feines Metallpulver in einer dünnen Schicht auf eine Bauplattform aufgetragen. Auf Basis der 3D-Daten wird nur an den Stellen des Volumenmodelles Material geschmolzen, die Teil des entstehenden Bauteils werden.
Dieser Prozess wird dann Schicht für Schicht wiederholt so dass die aufgeschmolzenen Schichten ein Bauteil ergeben.
Firmen, die heute das Lasersintern als Dienstleistung anbieten, arbeiten überwiegend nur in diesem Sektor und beschäftigen sich hauptsächlich mit Einzelstücken bei Musterbau, Prototypen und Formwerkzeugen sowie Dentalanwendungen.
Mit diesem Projekt möchte sich die Loll Feinmechanik GmbH für das Metall-Laser-Sintern qualifizieren und über die Pilotline den Prozess zur Serienfertigung vorbereiten.
Introduction of a pilot line for metal laser-sintering
The metal laser sintering is an additive manufacturing process. It stands for a new manufacturing process in which, not, as previously, a component is produced, by removing material by milling or turning (Subtractive manufacturing), but the component is constructed based on digital 3D design data in layers.
In this case, fine metal powder is applied in a thin layer on a build platform. Based on the 3D data of the volume model material is melted only at the locations, which will be part of the manufactured component.
This process is repeated layer by layer so that the melted layers results in a component.
Companies that now offer laser sintering as a service, mostly work only in this sector and are primarily concerned with individual pieces for sample production, prototypes and moulds and dental applications.
With this project, the Loll Feinmechanik GmbH would like to qualify itself for the metal laser sintering and prepare on the Pilot Line the process for mass production.
